Mason Jars
Painters Tape (to make stripes)
Chalk Paint (red, white, blue)
Vinyl (sticky on one side)
Silhouette/Cricut or Scissors/Hole Punch
Tweezers
Clear Spray (optional)
Cut out various sizes of Vinyl Star Shapes
Cut out Circles with a hole punch
First Layer: create your design by placing several circles and stars onto the mason jars (you'll add more later). This will allow light to show through should you wish to put battery lights inside your jars.
Second layer - paint a base coat of white chalk paint - you want it to look rustic so don't worry about getting full coverage. After drying, place larger stars and stripes with your painters tape on top of the white paint. Then, over the stars and painters tape, paint with your patriotic colors (third layer).
Let dry thoroughly and carefully peel off vinyl shapes with tweezers.
Spray sealant and let dry.
Use them as centerpieces, plain, with lights or flowers.
